  Welcome to our invigorating Martial Arts Fitness class at Pride Martial Arts in Oak Park, CA. This program is designed to be a safe, fun, and effective way to enhance your fitness, strength, and martial arts skills, with a special focus on toning and strengthening areas like the core, hips, and lower body in a supportive, women-friendly environment.

Class Schedule:

Mondays: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Wednesdays: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Fridays: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Class Details:

Location: Pride Martial Arts Studio, Oak Park, CA

Who Can Join: Everyone is welcome, with a particular emphasis on creating a space where everyone can feel comfortable and empowered. All ages and  fitness levels are catered to.

What to Wear: Comfortable workout clothes that allow for free movement.

What to Bring: A water bottle and towel.

Class Structure:

Welcome & Warm-up (5 minutes): Begin with light stretching to prepare your muscles and basic movements to get your heart rate up.

Martial Arts Fundamentals (10 minutes): Learn and practice basic stances, footwork, and punches, focusing on technique rather than contact.

Cardio and Coordination (20 minutes): Participate in a dynamic session that combines martial arts movements with fitness exercises, targeting core strength, hip mobility, and lower body toning for a comprehensive workout.

Bag Work (15 minutes): Practice your techniques on heavy bags, enhancing precision and power in a controlled setting, which also helps in sculpting the waistline and strengthening the lower body.

Cool Down & Flexibility (10 minutes): Finish with dynamic stretching to enhance flexibility, focusing on areas like the hips and lower back for recovery and flexibility.

HOW TO & WHAT DO I BRING?

 Dress for a workout, bring water, and towels are up to you.

  • Attire: Wear comfortable workout clothes that allow for full movement.
  • Hydration: Bring water to keep yourself hydrated throughout the session.
  • Towels: Optional, but having one might be nice when we hit the floor to work abbs, buns, and thighs.

We have loaner gloves and a pro shop .

  • Loaner Gloves: Available for those new to the fitness class or taking a free trial fitness session.
  • Pro Shop: For those looking to invest in their own gear, we have everything you need to take your training to the next level.

Bonus Tips:

  • Arrive Early: Give yourself time to get settled, stretch, and ask any questions you might have before class starts.
